How often should I get my prongs checked?   There is no definitive answer to this question, but the real answer is you can't check them too often. Most people are rough on their jewelry, whether they want to admit it or not. The more rough you are or the more manual type work you do with your hands, the more you should have your prongs checked. This holds especially true if you do garden work. Dirt and grime get into you jewelry and act in the same manner as sandpaper. We do not charge anything to clean and check your prongs.
